Individual Details
William LARDNER
(Abt 1811 - Bet Jan 1868 and Mar 1868)
On 6 October 1834, he married Elizabeth Souch, who had previously borne a child of his brother Nathaniel. They had five children of their own.
Throughout his life, he worked as an agricultural laborer. Apparently, the economics of this were difficult. In late 1839, he was convicted of stealing wood and sentenced to three months imprisonment. At the 1851 census, he and his family were "inmates" of the Witney Union Workhouse in Curbridge, Oxfordshire.
He died in Jan-Mar 1868 in Witney, Oxfordshire.
