Jim HELSTERN recalls that he dropped out of school after 8th grade. Charlotte HELSTERN Paugh remembers that it was after 2 years of high school. But, at any rate, he did not graduate from high school.He immediately went to work at the Pennsylvania Railroad "where he worked all his life."
