Individual Details
Kirt Spear Fetterling
(6 Feb 1957 - )
Kirt graduated from Estancia High School in Costa Mesa, California. He later attended Orange Coast College and graduated with a BA Business Administration degree from California State University Fullerton.
Kirt loved the shop courses taught in middle school and high school and excelled at them. Wood working and making things with his hands was going to definitely play a part in his future work. He started his first job working with his high school teacher doing construction and small home remodel jobs. As the years went by he continued working in construction with his brother in law (Roger Whistler) and used the income from work to fund his college education. He gave it a go trying to start a custom cabinet shop, but could not compete with the new big box stores like Home Depot . His knowledge of custom programming used in cabinetry design and exporting data to simplify work was to become his next big business break. He needed to provide a better income for his wife and kids. He became a temp looking for work in the business world. His first job became the boost he would take to his semi retirement years. His knowledge of using computers to accelerate routine tasks and quickly give actions to instruct workers to do their jobs quickly and more efficiently. Staff could be reduced and the new free trade agreements made staffing overseas more economical for US employers, a trade Kirt was proficient at. He was a junior buyer, sr. buyer, Materials Manager, Purchasing Manager. He finally grew tired of the business life and has semi retired fixing homes and renting them or flipping them.

I was looking on-line with a friend of mine, curious about what new information, if any, might be available on Ancestry.com. I saw a post entered by Kirt Fetterling, and I immediately sent him a messaage. He reached out to me. We discovered our connection to WilLaQueNaho. I agreed to help him straighten out some mis-information because I had documents to prove what I was claiming. He was very considerate and wanted to correct errors. He, like myself, like to make sure history is recorded correctly with proper documentation. I provided him with a lot of information he didn't have; he provided me with information I didn't have. Together, we were hopefully able to get a few things corrected and/or added. My sole purpose of looking that day, was to see if perhaps anyone I didn't know about might have pictures of my ancestors. No luck that day, but I did meet a new relative, and he was very helpful with some technical difficulites I was having. He told me, "Pay it forward." I do believe in that and I certainly will. Thank you Kirt.
