Individual Details

William Comstock

( - )

Went to Galena, IL, where he owned lead mines. Galena is in Jo Daviess Co. I believe the following would be his estate.
Galena Daily Advertiser, 20 Jan 1864
Administrator's Notice:
To Mary Rathburn, Edward N. Rathburn, her husband; Francis Adelaid Green, Benjamin F. Green, her husband; Charles D. Comstock, minor; Samuel Comstock; the children of Clark M. Comstock, deceased, as unknown heirs of William Comstock, deceased, late of the County of Joe Daviess and State of Illinois.
John H. Comstock, adm. of Estate of Wm. Comstock
Washington R. Vermilye vs. John E. Comstock, Charles Comstock, Mary Rathburn, Edward N. Rathburn, Francis Adelaid Green, Benjamin F. Green, and the children of Clark M. Comstock, deceased, as unknown heirs of William Comstock Deceased.
Bill in Chancery, Foreclose a Mortgage

Clark M. Comstock was a brother and had died in 1861 in Tennessee. The others are not recognizable as his siblings. I wonder if the admin of the estate was John E. Comstock rather than John H. who would have been a son of William's brother Samuel.
