Robert T. Holderness Dies at Fordyce
Was a Brother of Harry I. and James Holderness of this city, and a Prominent and Popular Business Man
Robert T. Holderness 40 years old, one of the most prominent residents of Fordyce, Dallas county, died at his home there last night at 5;50 o'clock after an illness of five weeks with las grippe. Mr. Holderness is survived by his wife, four children, three sons and a daughter, his mother, Mrs. A. S. Holderness, two sisters, Mrs. John R. Hampton and Miss Minnie Holderness, and three brothers, H. I. and James Holderness of this city, and M. E. Holderness of Nashville, Tenn. all the relatives were at his bedside when the end came.
Mr. Holderness was in the drug business at Fordyce for more than twenty years and was one of the most prominent business men of the section of the state. He was prominently identified in every movement for the upbuilding of his city and state and took an active interest in the educational affairs, being a director of the Fordyce Training School. He was a valued member of the Board of Stewards of the Methodist church and enjoyed unusual popularity throughout this section.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Methodist church at Fordyce. Rev. B. B. Thomas will conduct the services, assisted by Revs. C. J. Green and R. W. McKay.

Harry I Holderness came up yesterday afternoon from Fordyce, and with Mrs. Holderness left yesterday afternoon on his return to Fordyce, to attend the funeral of his brother, Robert T. Holderness.

Holderness Funeral Largely Attended
The funeral of Robert T. Holderness, who died Wednesday afternoon at his home at Fordyce, was held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Methodist church at that place by Rev. C. C. Green, Rev. B. B. Thomas, Rev. R. W. McKay and Rev. Cheatham.
...The funeral was one of the largest ever held in fordyce and was attended by relatives from this city, Little Rock, Crossett, Texarkana, and Nashville, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holderness, the former a brother of the deceased attended the funeral, and returned home Thursday night. Mr. Holderness was well known here and had many friends, he having once lived here. He was at the time of his death in the drug business at Fordyce, and was one of the most prominent men of that town.
