Herbert Herrin, 43, of New Hope died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Thayers Veteran Hospital in Nashville following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the New Hope Methodist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. Flynn Humphries of Nashville and the Rev. Gilliam will officiate and Butler Brothers will be in charge of interment.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Rebecca Stone Herrin; one daughter, Julia Annette Herrin; three brothers, Joe Herrin and William Sanford Herrin of Huntsville, and J.D. Herrin of Sheffield.
Mr. Herrin was born and reared in the county. He was a veteran of World War II.
