John Stamps

John Stamps received 135 acres from a land grant in New Kent County, on the south side of the York River in 1662.1 The Stamps family lived in St. Peter's Parish.2

John died ca. 1682-83. Johannah, his widow, married Edward Wells. In March of 1684, Edward Wells and Johannah Wells conveyed to her sons Thomas Stamp and Richard Stamp, 300 acres originally granted to Thomas Stampe, the immigrant, on Sept. 25, 1663.3
