Benjamin served as Executor of Mary's father's estate, as well as Administrator of the estate of his brother-in-law, Augustine Pattillo.

p.183 August Court, 1795. John Moseley, dec'd, had been appointed Administer of Augt. Pattillo by the August Court of 1794. There were payments made by John Moseley prior to his death to include payment of the 1793 tax, etc. and to himself. These papers were filed with the court by Ben Kimbell, now Administrator of Pattillo.
