Individual Details
Lyman Horatio HUMISTON
(1 Apr 1867 - 30 Dec 1890)
Beth Humiston's research gives a death date of 30 Dec 1890, but Timothy Hopkin's "Kellogg's in the Old World and the New" gives the death date as December 8 (Vol. 2, p. 1653).
Beth's date was correct. The obituary in the January 1, 1891 issue of the Waukesha Freeman reads:
Lyman H. Humiston's sufferings came to an end on Tuesday morning, and he was laid to rest in La Belle cemetery Wednesday afternoon, a large concourse of friends following. The services were conducted by Rev. F. C. Jewell of the Episcopal church. Lyman was 23 years of age.
