Marriage
This is a transcription of an earlier record, and the spelling of names was garbled in the process. Most notably, the groom's name is listed as "Louis Gens" -- this is almost certainly a faulty transcription -- I believe it was originally Gagnon. His birthplace, Point Levi (Pointe-Lévis) is feasible: Gagnon was a common name there, and there were more than one Louis Gagnon of the right age range living there in the mid 1800s. Anny's parents were listed as Phrancis and Lavina, which could fit Francis and Olivina. I believe this to be the correct marriage record for this couple.Endnotes
