Gerard Joseph "Jay" BEAUDOIN

Gerard Joseph “Jay” Beaudoin, 91 of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at Life Care of Coeur d'Alene. He was born May 3, 1915 in Moosup, Connecticut to Stanislaus and Anna (Desmarais) Beaudoin. Jay was raised in Connecticut and following his education he married Theresa Provost in 1939 in Connecticut. During WWII he served in the Merchant Marine. Jay returned to Connecticut and went to work in the textile industry as a Loom Fixer. In 1955 the family moved to Southern California. There Jay attended college and became a machinist. In 1983 he retired from his machinist work and he and Theresa moved to Idaho. Jay's hobbies included being an avid gardener and fisherman.
He is survived by son Paul Beaudoin of Orange, California, son and daughter-in-law; Leo and Lynda Beaudoin of Little Canada, Minnesota, daughters and sons-in-law; Paulette and Jim Williams of Nampa, Idaho, Elaine and Mike Underwood of Mesa, Arizona, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jay was preceded in death by his wife Theresa on March 5, 2004.
A funeral mass will be held 12:00 P.M. (noon) on Friday, May 19, 2006 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery also in Coeur d'Alene. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 North Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
