Irene M. Bourque Aug. 28, 1911 - Jan. 19, 2008 BROOKLYN - Irene M. Bourque, 96, died on Saturday at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn. She was the wife of the late Noah Bourque, who died on April 5, 1974. They were married on Oct. 7, 1929 at All Hallows Church in Moosup. Mrs. Bourque was born in Taftville on Aug. 28, 1911, the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Anna (Desmarais) Beaudoin. As a child, she moved with her family to Moosup and attended All Hallows School. She lived most of her life in the Plainfield/Moosup area, prior to moving to Danielson in 1981. From 1977 to 1980, she did live in Burbank, CA, Mrs. Bourque was employed by several local companies, including Cranska's Textile Mill. Brunswick Worsted Mill, and Majestic Metal, all in Moosup. Her final employment was for the Central Remnants Corp. in Central Village, where she was a salesperson, a position she held for sixteen years, until her retirement in 1973. Mrs. Bourque was an avid knitter. She was a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella of All Hallows Church in Moosup, and a member of the Quinebaug Valley Senior Citizens. She was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson. She leaves a daughter, Pauline Michaud of Rocky Hill, CT; two brothers, Gerard Beaudoin of Hayden Lake, Idaho and George Beaudoin of Annandale, Virginia; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Bourque; two brothers, Henry Beaudoin and Laurent Beaudoin; two sisters, Mary Jane Czupryna and Florence Orlowski; a great granddaughter Collette Cote; and a great - grandson, Jake Kirkconnell. A Funeral Service will be conducted TODAY, Monday, Jan. 21 at 6p.m. at Gagnon - Costello Funeral Home. 33 Reynolds St., Danielson. Cremation to follow with burial in Oneco Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 106 Route 32, Franklin, CT 06254.
