BLANCHE ALLIE
Mrs. Alfred O. Allie, 61, of 1918 - 28th St., Two Rivers, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday with a solemn requiem high Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, with the Rev. John K. Mueller, pastor of the new Holy Redeemer parish, serving as the celebrant. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Allie, nee Blanche Emond, was born at Lena, Wis., May 6, 1895, a daughter of the late George and Ida Ruelle Emond. When she was a small child the family brought her to Niagara, Wis., where she attended the elementary schools. The family came to Two Rivers from Niagara in 1914 and she had resided there since. A charter member of the Auxiliary of Eleven Gold Star Post 1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Two Rivers, she held the post of first musician for three years. She also was a member of the Columbus Home Assn. Auxiliary of Two Rivers and the Altar Society of St. Luke Church as well as the Father Allie Guild. She was married April 10, 1918, at Two Rivers to Alfred O. Allie, veteran chief accounts clerk of the Two Rivers Municipal Utilities.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter; two sons; a sister; five brothers; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 3 p.m. Thursday where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
It was announced that the Two Rivers FVW Auxiliary members will meet at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
