DEATH CLAIMS GEORGE EMOND ON SATURDAY
(Two Rivers Reporter, Two Rivers, WI., September 21, 1942)
Residence Here Since 1914 Ill a Month; Funeral Tuesday Morning George Emond, 76, 1722 18th St., an employee of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company since coming to this city in 1914, died at the Municipal hospital Saturday afternoon where he had been a patient for nearly a month.
Rites Tomorrow
Funeral services will be held from the Klein and Stangel funeral home at 8:30 Tuesday morning and at 9 o'clock from the St. Luke's Catholic Church, where a requiem high mass will be read. Rev. Arthur F. Allie will be the celebrant. The Revs. Linus Steckbauer and Alfred Loehr will assist.
George Emond, well known in this city, was born in Fraserville, Quebec, Canada, on June 8, 1866, the son of the late Esueb and Justine Emond. He came to this country at the age of 21 and made his home at Lena, Oconto County. On June 8, 1891 he married Ida Ruelle of Lena at Stiles. She died in March, 1926.

Grandsons Serve As Pallbearers
Six grandsons acted as pallbearers for George Emond when funeral services were held for the well known local man this morning.
Services were held from the Klein and Stangel, Inc. funeral home at 8:30 and at 9 o'clock a solemn requiem high mass was celebrated in St. Luke's Catholic church by Rev. Arthur F. Allie, Rev. Linus Steckbauer and Rev. Alfred Loehr. Father Allie is a brother-in-law of one of Mr. Emond's daughters, Mrs. Alfred O. Allie. The pallbearers were Ralph, Harold and Mark Emond, Richard and Donald Allie and Philip Schmitt.
