ALFRED O. ALLIE
Alfred O. Allie, 76, of 1918-28th St., Two Rivers, a member of one of the earliest families in the community and a retired longtime chief accounts clerk at the Two Rivers Municipal Utilities, is dead. He died shortly before midnight Thursday at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. 
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday
at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Allie was born Aug. 16, 1894, at Two Rivers, a son of the late Oliver and Odelia LaFond Allie. He was graduated from St. Luke Parochial School and from the old Two Rivers High School with the class of 1913. After his graduation he was employed in the office of the Eggers Plywood Co. He entered World War I and became a company clerk in the 304th Infantry, U.S. Army, serving nine months in France. He was discharged as a sergeant. In March of 1925 he became employed by the Municipal Utilities as chief accountant. He retired in late August of 1950 after more than 35 years of service with the utility Widely known on a state level in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he served as commander of the Eleven Gold Star Post 1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars, for two terms, 1931-33. Also he was a member of the Robert E. Burns Post 165, American Legion, as well as Mother of Hope Council 1957, Knights of Columbus. He married the former Blanche Emond at St. Luke church April 10, 1918. She died in March of 1957.
Survivors include a daughter; two sons; four sisters; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral chapels from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday where memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. by the VFW and again at 8 p.m. by members of the parish and friends.
