Robert Wilson Chandler was born September 19, 1927 in Lakeview, Texas, the son of Dutch and Amanda (Chapman) Chandler. Bob was united in marriage to Miss Virginia Sturgis on August 11, 1950 in Oklahoma City. He retired from OG&E after 13 years of service. He was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home in Oklahoma City; one daughter, Connie Cook and her husband, Leland of El Reno, OK; one son, Robert Chandler and his wife, Selita of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Kenneth Chandler and his wife, Georgia of Oklahoma City; Ralph Chandler and his wife, Carol of St. George, Utah; Ferman Chandler and his wife, Barbara of Chickamaugo, GA; and three grandchildren, Amy Cook, Lisha Chandler, Kayla Chandler and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Bob will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 1999 in the Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Oklahoma City. Burial will conclude in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
