Altus Times, Altus, Oklahoma, Friday, May 27, 2011: Graveside service for Glen Ann "Nanny" Sommers, 82, Lawton, will be at Altus City Cemetery, Saturday at 11 a.m., with David Steward officiating. Glen Ann passed away, Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Lawton.She was born May 21, 1929, in Hollis to Glen and Clara Sommers. Nanny spent many years of her life caring for her nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. In later years, she loved playing dominoes at McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Home, doing arts and crafts, and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. Nanny never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone she met. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceeded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Red Kirby; sisters, Betty Jane Sommers, and Peggy Starwalt. Lowell-Tims are in charge of the local arrangements.
