Kirkpatrick, 89, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Pinckneyville Hospital's Skilled Care Unit. Jessie was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Tamaroa Christian Church, Tamaroa Ladies Birthday Club and an avid gardener. She was born May 18, 1917, in Tamaroa, the daughter of Edward and Anna Laura (Waisath) Sprenger. She married Audrey M. Kirkpatrick on Sept. 17, 1939, in Perryville, Mo. He preceded her in death July 30, 2003. She is survived by four children, Florence Kirkpatrick of Tamaroa, Arven Kirkpatrick and wife, Sally, of Tamaroa, Sally Knight and husband, Frank, of Moweaqua and Jane Taylor and husband, Tom, of Wauchula, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Carl; and one brother, George Sprenger. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007, in Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa, with Brother Arven Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
