Roscoe Arthur Kirkpatrick, 73, of Sesser, a retired railroad worker, and former Barren township road commissioner, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri-Pacific Hospital in St. Louis. A member of the Horse Prairie Church, he is survived by his wife, Ella, a son, Charles of Wood River, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Horse Prairie Church near Sesser with the Rev. Hugh Moore officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Johnston Funeral Home in Whittington after 6 p.m. today.
