Obituary from Washington Register (Washington, Kansas), December 6, 1889: Mrs. A. P. Hosier, after a long and painful illness, died at her home in the south part of town last Sunday, and was laid to rest in the cemetery Monday afternoon. Every thing was done for her comfort that could be done by her relatives and friends, but the painful malady with which she was afflicted made her suffering very intense, and a cure impossible. The bereaved husband feels very grateful to the numerous friends who assisted during her sickness and death, in ministering to the wants of his beloved companion, and for the sympathy extended to the sorrowing family.
