Daily Illinois State Journal, Springfield, Illinois, Thursday, October 12, 1967, Page 15: Mrs. Rose L. White, 84, of 224 W. Ash St., died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. White was a member of the Laurel Methodist Church where she served as a Bible class instructor for many years. She also was past president of the WSCS and active in affairs for the Mary Bryant Home. A resident of Springfield for the past 18 years, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gay White, in 1963. Surviving are three sons, Alfred K. of Springfield, Dr. Gordon B. of Normal, and Rev. Ronald H. of Salinas, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert B. Mills of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. T. H. Sailor of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Lenora Gould of Victor, Mont.; and Mrs. Grace Feltis of Seattle, Wash, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. N. Felton Whittle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
