Fleta Mildred Wayland was born 2 November 1894 on the borderline between Indian Territory and Oklahoma Territory, near what is now Marlow, Stephens County, Oklahoma. She died 29 December 1977 at Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa. On 12 February 1924 she married Walter Adolph Siegrist of Niota, Hancock County, Illinois, who was born 12 April 1887 and died 21 May 1970 in Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa.
There were three (3) children born of the marriage.

She had been in failing health one year and seriously ill one week. Mrs. Siegrist was born Nov. 2, 1894 in Indian Territory near Marlow, Okla. She had lived in the West Point-Denmark area since 1935. She was a member of the Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ and a former member of the Jolly 20 Circle and the Women's Fellowship of the church. On Feb. 12, 1924, in Fort Madison, she was married to Walter A. Siegrist, who died May 21, 1970. Surviving are two sons, Lee of West Point RR 1, and Jerry of Waukon, Iowa, a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Martha) Koehn, Millersburg, Iowa, and nine grandchildren , two great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a brother. Her parents were Edward Fielding and Ida Sarah Arnold Wayland. The body is at the Barr Memorial Chapel, where final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Richard Hempenius will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 Friday evening at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
