Vada Kirkpatrick
(9 Feb 1903 - 2 Sep 2008)
Vada Kirkpatrick, the oldest of Albert Newton Kirkpatrick's children, was born at Dalton, Randolph County, Arkansas, 9 February 1903. On 9 September 1921, she married Jesse Hite Stubblefield, son of John R. and Martha (Brown) Stubblefield. Jesse was born 8 September 1896 and died 15 February 1972. He was a World War I veteran.
After Vada and Jesse were married, they bought a 320 acre farm with a two-story log and stone house in Randolph County, Arkansas. Eventually, while continuing to own the farm, they moved to Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas, where Jesse ran a wholesale grocery business and Vada worked at the Post Office. They both retired in 1968.
There were two (2) children born of the marriage.
An E-Mail from Betty Snow on June 14, 2007 states that Vada Stubblefield is still living. There was an article about her in May in the Pocahontas Star Herald.
