He was born in Randolph County, Sept 8, 1896, a son of the late John R. and Martha Brown Stubblefield. He was a retired grocer merchant and veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vada Kirkpatrick of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Iverne Jones of Pocahontas; a son, Perry Hite Stubblefield of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; 2 brothers, Earl and Albert Stubblefield, both of Pocahontas; 2 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., today (Thursday) in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Robert Bennett and Bill McNeal officiating. Burial followed in Masonic, Cemetery with McNabb's in charge.
