Abilene Reporter News, Abilene, Texas, Thursday, October 19, 1972, Page 17, Col. 2: Lueders (RNS)---William Roy Aycock, 89, of Lueders, retired grocer, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Stamford Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral is pending with Lawrence Funeral Home in Anson. Mr. Aycock was born Jan. 27, 1883, in Jackson, Miss. He moved to Texas when he was 14 years old and settled at Wylie. He married Barbara Treadway Feb. 9, 1908, at Sulphur Springs. The couple lived at Farmersville and Munday before moving to Lueders in 1937. He operated a grocery store at Lueders until his retirement in 1963. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lueders. Survivors are his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Mrs. C. W. Parker of Odessa; two sons, William Joe Aycock of San Angelo and Albert Aycock of Snyder; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
