Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Wednesday, March 27, 1935, Page 7, Col. 2: John M. Parrott, 60 years old, of 735 West Main street, sheet-metal worker with the J. D. Harper Company, died yesterday morning at 1:25 o'clock at St. Joseph's hospital following an illness of two weeks. He was born in Knox county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etta Cox Parrott; two sons, D. R. Parrott of Dayton, Ohio, and C. S. Parrott of Knox county; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hubbard, Mrs. Martha Hutton, Mrs. Estill Smith and Mrs. Dora Robbins, Knox and Harlan counties; two brothers, T. C., and McVicars Parrott, of Knox county; five step- children, Mrs. J. L. Goran, Mrs. J. D. Harper, Mrs. J. J. Scully, Mrs. B. A. Robinson and Tandy Brown, all of Lexington, and 12 grandchildren. The body was removed to the W. R. Milward mortuary chapel, where funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Mr. J. Archer Gray officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in the Lexington cemetery. Bearers will be J. J. Scully, J. L. Goran, T. H. Brown, R. H. Gaines, J. D. Harper, and Huett Martin.
