Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Monday, October 16, 1967, Page 2, Col. 6: Mrs. John M. Parrott. Mrs. Etta Cox Parrott, 94, of 236 Chinoe Road, widow of John M. Parrott, died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday at a local nursing home after a long illness. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. James Harper Sr., since 1935. A native and life-long resident of Lexington, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Sally Hopper Cox. She was educated in Lexington and was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church. Besides Mrs. Harper, survivors include three other daughters, Mrs. John L. Geran, Mrs. Edna Scully, and Mrs. Clyde Baird, all of Lexington; a half-brother, Porter R. Cox, Lexington; three half-sisters, Mrs. Minnie Cravens, Mrs. Leige Anderson, both of Lexington; Mrs. Margaret Cravens, Cincinnati; 25 grandchildren; 92 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren. The body was taken to the W. R. Milward Mortuary--Broadway, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Paul Robinson. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 until 9 p.m. today.
