Beulah Mildred Houk

Unknown Nebraska newspaper: Beulah Mildred Houk, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Houk, was born at Paxton, Neb., on December 7th, 1915, and departed this life on November 23rd, 1920, aged 4 years, 11 months and 15 days.

Little Beulah took sick Monday night and just one week from that night death came and took our loved one away. She leaves to mourn her early departure, father, mother, one brother, and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Short funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home, by Rev. E. V. Price, who spoke words of comfort and hope.

Precious Beulah, she has left us, Left us, yes, forever morel But we hope to meet our loved on, On that bright and happy shore, Lonely the house, and sad the hour, Since our dear one has gone, But Oh! a brighter home that ours, In Heaven is now her own.

Interment in Paxton Cemetery.

Beulah died of Scarlet fever according to information received from Eunice Wilson, of Oroville, California, June 1999.
