Ella May Buckley

Unknown Nebraska newspaper: Ella May Buckley was born at Cozad, Nebraska, February 29th, 1889, where she attended school and grew to womanhood.
On December 28th, 1911, she and John Houk were united in Holy wedlock. To this union two children were born. One, a daughter, having passed away at the age of four years.
In 1913, Mr. and Mrs. Houk moved to Paxton, Nebr., where they have made their home since except for short intervals, and until the passing of Mrs. Houk at Scottsbluff, Nebr., on November 30th, 1944, at the age of 55 years, nine months and one day.
Mrs. Houk leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, John Houk, one son, Earl Houk, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She also leaves six brothers, James, Herman Guy, Oliver and Alonzo Buckley of Cozad and Charles Buckley of Walla Walla, Washington. She leaves also, two sisters, Irene Hamilton of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Myrtie Henry of Cozad.
Mrs. Houk joined the Methodist Church at Cozad when she was a girl, and upon coming to Paxton placed her membership in the Paxton Methodist church of which she was a member when she passed away.
She was also a member of the Rebekah and Royal Neighbor lodges, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Women's Club and took part in all their activities while in the community.
