Antioch Daily Ledger, Antioch, California, Monday, September 8, 1969, Page 6: Funeral services for Lindsay Maynard, 906 W. Seventh St., will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Pittsburg Chapel. Maynard died Friday of a heart condition in Delta Memorial Hospital. He was 74. He moved from Clyde, Calif., to Antioch 18 years ago. Maynard was a retired gardener for the County Housing Authority. A native of Diehlstadt, Mo., he was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Bertha, sons M. L. (Bud) Maynard of Antioch and Vernon Maynard who lives in Hawaii, daughter Mrs. Leora Bradley, a resident of Illinois, one sister Mrs. Myrtle Doughty of Missouri, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Officiating will be Rev. Oscar Gibson, pastor emeritus of the Antioch United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Concord.
