Nancy "Emma" Nolen

Emma's husband married in 1912 and stayed in Wisconsin until his death in 1939. They were evidently divorced and she moved with her sons to Omaha in 1910. Earlier research drew the wrong conclusion, that she died about 1910 and then her husband remarried.

Emma Kirkpatrick is head of the household in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska 1920 Census with her son Ray F., daughter-in-law, Sarrah and granddaugther, Nadine. Emma is married. Ray is a cattle buyer at the cattle yard.

Emma Kirkpatrick is listed on the card of thanks after her son Kenneth died in 1928. Eugene C. Kirkpatrick is not listed.

Obituary from Omaha World Herald, January 18, 1930: Kirkpatrick, Mrs. Nancy E., age 72 years, passed away January 18, 1930 at home, 540 S. 52nd. Survived by her husband, Eugene E. [C.]; 3 sons, John B., Clarence E., Ray F.; daughter, Mrs. Ferdie Shroyer, Marysville, Kans; 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Funeral notice later.
