Individual Details

Frank Chrystle Kirkpatrick

(1880 - 1962)

Frank Chrystle Kirkpatrick, used the name "Dick" so extensively that many thought his real name was Richard, which was not so, but caused some confusion in records, newspapers, etc. He was born in 1859 in Wisconsin, and was married to Miss Emma Woodruff on 13 October 1898 in Grant County, Wisconsin. Emma was the daughter of George Wesley and Elizabeth (Holmes) Woodruff. Emma was born at Montfort in Grant County, Wisconsin on 30 January 1879, and died 18 January 1957. She is buried in the Montfort Cemetery. Frank was born at Clifton in Grant County. They were married at Lima in Grant County. Frank was a farmer.

There were three (3) children born of the marriage. The book "A Kirkpatrick Genealogy - The Family of James Kirkpatrick of South Carolina" lists that there were only two children born of the family, however, research with the Grant County Historical Society lists an earlier child than Forrest, named Mabel who only lived to 17 months of age and then passed on.
