Burlington Hawk Eye Gazette, Burlington, Iowa, Monday, June 16, 1947, Page 9, Col. 3: Mrs. C. R. Jackson [Jackman]. New London---Mrs. C. R. Jackman, 87, died Monday morning in Memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant, where she had been a patient for 5 days. Her husband, Charles Robert Jackman, whom she married at Lowell on Oct. 12, 1879, died last Dec. 1. Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Charles and Sarah Stevenson Kirkpatrick, was born at Lowell Oct. 15, 1859. She was a charter member of the Get-To-Gether club, at Lowell, and is survived by a son, J. Cleveland Jackman and 2 grandsons, all of Lowell. Services will be held at the Elliott Chapel, New London, at 2 p.m. June 18. Dr. Laura Galer, Mt. Pleasant, will officiate, and burial will be in the Bethany cemetery, near Lowell.
