Lake Erie Kirkpatrick, the eldest child of Hobart E. Kirkpatrick, Sr. and his wife Anna, was born 17 August 1885. She died 26 June 1976. She married Ernest Holmes Tipton, 7 June 1916, in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. He was a Methodist minister. The family served many areas of Nebraska until retirement when they moved to California to be near their only child.

There was one child born of the marriage.

Friends are invited to attend memorial services Thursday, July 1 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church, 2320 Dana St., Berkeley, the Rev. D. Clifford Crummey officiating. Memorials in her memory may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, or Beulah Home, Inc. 4690 Tompkins St., Oakland or a favorite charity. McNary & Morgan Chapel, Berkeley.
