Unable to locate Thomas on the 1920 Census. Delila is a widow living at Kearney, Buffalo Co., Nebraska. She is working as a teacher in a rural school. Her children Adie, Thomas and Ward are living with her.

On the 1930 U. S. Census of Hinman, Lincoln Co., Nebraska, Thomas J. is head of household with his son Thomas E. Thomas E. works as a carpenter. Thomas J. states he is a widower.
