Lewis "Wayne" Kirkpatrick

Lewis Wayne Kirkpatrick was the second child of Chauncey M. and Isabelle (Brown) Kirkpatrick. He was born 16 June 1915 at Lexington, Dawson County, Nebraska. On 17 July 1939 he married Ruth Kathryn Whitcomb in Arapaho, Furnas County, Nebraska. Ruth was born 22 February 1917 in Yuma County, Colorado. They were living in 1981 in Gothenburg, Dawson County, Nebraska. Mr. Kirkpatrick is in the gravel business. There were four (4) children born of the marriage.

Wayne Kirkpatrick, 89, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg. Services were held on Friday, Dec. 17, at the United Methodist Church of Gothenburg, with the Rev. Sharee Johnson officiating. Burial was at the Gothenburg Cemetery, with Masonic graveside services by the Platte Valley Masonic Lodge #32 A. F. & A. M. of North Platte. Kirkpatrick was born north of Lexington, on June 16, 1915, to Chauncey M. and Isabelle Brown Kirkpatrick. He was preceded in death by: his parents, a brother, Joseph Owen; a sister, Twillabelle; a daughter-in-law, Judy McFarland Kirkpatrick; granddaughter, Katie Ivey Huckfeldt.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruth of Gothenburg; two daughters---Cheryl (James) Sanders of Wabasha, MN, and Kimberly (Bruce) Huckfeldt of Chadron; two sons--Steven (Kimberlyn) Kirkpatrick of Simi Valley, CA, and Dennis (Susan) Kirkpatrick of Gothenburg; ten grandchildren---Whitcomb (Kim) Sanders of Webb City, MO, Kirk (Connie) Sanders of Lincoln, Andrew (Amy) Sanders of Omaha, Michael Kirkpatrick of Winter Park, CO, Alexander Kirkpatrick of Loveland, CO, Nathan Kirkpatrick of Lakewood, Co., Dorian Kirkpatrick of Golden Valley, MN, Nicholas Kirkpatrick of Littleton, CO, Hannah Huckfeldt of Chadron, Halcyon Huckfeldt of Salt Lake City, UT, and Daylin Paul of Simi Valley, CA; 12 great-grandchildren---Matthew Sanders, Benjamin Sanders, timothy Sanders, Marcus Sanders, Ruth Sanders, Jonathan Sanders, Whitney Sanders, Zachary Sanders, Evan Sanders, Maxwell Sanders, Hunter Kirkpatrick and Michael Owen Kirkpatrick.
