Christina Elnora Johnson was born in Sweden, August 28, 1828 and died Nov. 9, 1919, aged 91 years, 2 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage in Sweden in the year 1846 to Andrew Andersen and sailed for America and settled at Fairfield, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Albert and Henry Andersen. After five years of happy married life her husband died. In her 22nd year she gave her heart to God and joined the Methodist church and has lived a faithful efficient member until her death. In 1854 she was united in marriage to Robert Bradley Rowland who has preceded her into the better world. To this union six children were born, John Rowland of Colo., J. J. Rowland of Brule, Nb.; Mary Lamb and Emma Applegate of Cozad; Lowery and Dana Rowland, deceased. While it is her gain she leaves to mourn her loss the six children, 60 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild and a host of friends. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Clifton of Cozad was held at the home November 13, and interment was in Grandview cemetery. (Andrew Andersen died of Typhoid Fever and is buried in Fairfield, Jefferson County Iowa.)
