Blaine Evron Kirkpatrick was born October 15 1887 in Raub, Indiana and died January 23 1959 in Wheeler, Indiana. Blaine married Vernia Marks on June 26 1912. After Vernia’s death in 1937, Blaine married Lois ‘Bunny’ Wentworth in 1938. Blaine was a pastor at Trinity Church in South Bend, Indiana, in 1912. He graduated from Northwestern Univeristy in Evanston, Illinois in 1912 with a bachelors and a masters in the arts. He was a pastor at First Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana in 1914. He was a pastor at College Avenue Church in Greencastle, Indiana in 1916. He became head pastor at First Church in Salem, Oregon between 1920 and 1925. He graduated from Williamette University in Salem, Oregon in 1923 with a doctorate in divinity. He was assistant secretary to the board of education at Methodist Episcopal Church in Salem, Oregon, in charge of young people’s work, between 1925 and 1936.
