Omer Kirkpatrick (the great grandfather of the compiler*) was born April 20 1892 in Raub, Indiana and died February 28 1979 in Coos Bay, Oregon, due to throat cancer. Omer married Lenna May Haines on November 19, 1908 in Indiana. Omer and Lenna divorced in 1914. Omer then married Othel Karr on August 27, 1916 in Fowler, Indiana. Omer was an auto-mechanic. He owned his own auto-shop in Chicago between 1929 and 1935, but due to the depression the shop closed and Omer returned to Indiana, where he took over his father’s farm.
