Chalmers Kirkpatrick of Keota died on Monday evening at 11:pp. He was 90 years and six months old. Mr. Kirkpatrick was the father of Frank and Craig Kirkpatrick of Fairfield and Dr. Ray Kirkpatrick formerly of Fairfield and now of Des Moines; and the grandfather of Ross Kirkpatrick, Edel Tera Kirkpatrick and Mrs. John Winter of Fairfield.

Mr. Kirkpatrick came to Iowa in 1863 from Bureau County, Ill. He married Adrienne Smock, daughter of D. V. Smock, pioneer Presbyterian preacher. He spent the rest of his life on his farm near Keota until he moved into that town 20 years ago.

His wife preceded him in death eight years ago. He is survived by nine sons [?]. 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to have been heldat 2:30 this afternoon.
