Posted at findagrave.com: NEW BREMEN - Virginia Widau, 72, of 28 Circle Drive, died at 10:50 am Sunday, March 3, 1996 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born April 22, 1923, near London, Kentucky to Woody D. and Lillie (Wise) Parrett. On August 22, 1942, she married Leonard Widau who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Sharon Kay Dietz, Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Max (Beverly) Fledderjohann, New Bremen; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Dorothy Ball, Lily, Ky.; Mrs. Robert (Dora) Owens, Hamilton and Gladys Moore, Englewood. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Minerva Robinson and Tilda Purpus and four brothers, Wiley, Artemus, Denver and Dallas Parrett.

Mrs. Widau was a homemaker and had retired in 1985 after 20 years at Crown Controls Corporation. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ. Services were held at Gilberg Funeral Home with the Rev. Brady Seeley officiating. Burial was in German Protestant Cemetery.
