The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, Friday, May 7, 1993: Chester---Mrs. Anne P. Hayes, 89, of Route 3, Box 341, died May 5, 1993, at Chester County Hospital. Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Craven officiating and the Rev. Joseph Beasley assisting. Burial will be in New Hope United Methodist Church cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Hayes, a textile employee, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. A graduate of Linwood College in Gastonia, she was a columnist for the Chester News & Reporter and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors are her sons, R. Frank Hayes Jr., Fields Hayes; two grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; one great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Baton Rouge Rd. 25, Chester, S.C. 29706; or to West Chester Baptist Church, Route 3, Box 356, Chester, S.C. 29706.
