Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Friday, April 1, 1949, Page 27: Body is Recovered. The body of Willard M. Baker, 42, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Baker of Berea, who with a companion was drowned in a river in Alabama Saturday, was recovered today and will be returned to Berea. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Baker, regional manager of the Greyhound Bus Lines in Birmingham, and W. L. Kilgore, a Greyhound driver, were drowned when their small boat capsized while they were on a fishing trip. Baker was the father of a year old son. His wife is the former Nancy Wood Chenault of Richmond.
