Wilkins will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at West Oak chapel with Dr. Larry Draper and Dr. Wayne Styres officiating. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery. Mr. Wilkins, 85, of 22 Tamassee Lane, died Monday at a Rome health-care center. He was born in Calhoun on July 1, 1908, son of Franklin Wilkins and Gertrude Harper Wilkins. He was a longtime resident of Rome and prior to retirement, was employed as a salesman for the Southeastern Mils Co. and had been employed by West Oak Chapel Funeral Home as assistant funeral director. He was a past master of Cherokee Lodge 66 F and AM and the Masonic Low 12 Club. He attended West Rome Baptist Church were he taught the Lawrence Wilkins Bible Class. Survivors include: His wife, Ann Bowden Wilkins, to whom he was married June 20, 1931; a son, Robert D. Wilkins, Grand Bay Ala.; four grandchildren.
