Phoebe Jane Thompson

Phoebe Jane Thompson Mills, 83, of 159 Twenty-first, died Sunday at eleven-fifteen a.m. at the family home following a four-month illness. Mrs. Mills was born April 13, 18885 in Ogden, a daughter of Edmond Hobart and Eunice Paine Thompson. She had resided in Ogden most of her life except for a short time in St. Anthony, Idaho. She was active in the Relief society and Primary association work of the L. D. S. church. She was a member of Ogden Third ward.

On Sept. 15, 1883, she was married to Joseph Enoch Thompson in Cannonville, Garfield, county. He died Feb. 7, 1922. On July 13, 1927, she was married to Harry Mills, who died Oct. 30, 1947.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Joseph Grant Thompson and Mrs. John S. Lyons, Caldwell, Idaho; Mrs. Martin W. Wilson, San Bernardino, Calif.; Mrs. Ted Kruitmoes, Burley; Mrs. Louis Hoff, Portland, Ore.; Wallace R. Thompson and Mrs. S. L. Johnson, Ogden; also an adopted daughter, Mrs. Leslie Worthey, Box Elder county; 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Moseman, Boulder and Mrs. Harriett R. Williams, Arizona.
The body is at the mortuary, 3408 Washington.
