Joseph Enoch Thompson

The Ogden Standard-Examiner, Ogden, Utah, February 7, 1922, Page 9, Col. 5: Joseph E. Thompson died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at the home 2376 1/2 Washington avenue following a short illness of heart disease. He was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, July 25, 1858, the son of James and Matilda Thompson. His father, James Thompson was a member of the Mormon Battalion. Thompson had been a resident of Ogden for the past four years. He was formerly a resident of St. Anthony, Ida. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Phoebe Thompson Thompson and the following children: Joseph Thompson, Mrs. Alta Lyons, Dave Thompson, Mrs. Belle Williams, Mrs. Rose Orchard, Mrs. Amy Johnson, Miss Myrtle and Wallace Thompson. Eighteen grandchildren also survive. The body was taken in charge by Lindquist and funeral arrangements will be made as soon as Joseph Thompson, a son, arrives from California.
