Posted at findagrave.com: Houston--- Glen Stroup Saxon, 66, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 13, 1944, in Houlka to Charlie Henry Carroll Saxon and Oma Earlene Stroup. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, the retired owner/operator of Saxon's Drive In in Houston and was a retired 20 year member of the Houston Volunteer Fire Department. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20 at Houston Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hilderbrand officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Patricia Moye Saxon of Houston; niece, Lyn McClelland and Demsey; nephews, John Kirkpatrick, Carroll Kirkpatrick and Lori, Robert Fryman and Tammy, Rodney Fryman and Lola and Ryan Fryman and Jean; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sylvia Kirkpatrick; and his brother-in-law, Doyle Kirkpatrick. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today(Sat.,Feb.19)and from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
