Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Thursday, September 30, 2010, Page 6 A, Col. 4: Puxico, Mo.--Edith Turnipseed Buttry, 90, of Puxico, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. She was born on April 8, 1920, at Rombauer, Mo. Mrs. Buttry had lived in Dupo, Ill., before moving back to the Puxico, Mo., area in 1961. She had worked in housekeeping at the Puxico Nursing Center. She is a member of the Brown General Baptist Church. On July 29, 1939, she was married to Cecil Turnipseed in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He preceded her in death in August of 1972. She then married Willie Buttry on Nov. 22, 1997, in Puxico. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2001.Surviving are one sister, Nellie Berens of Belleville, Ill., one brother, Med Ham of Puxico, Mo.; other relatives and friends survive. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday followed by the funeral service at noon at Brown General Baptist Church near Puxico with the Rev. John Buttry officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico. Walker & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico is in charge of arrangements.
