She was born June 23, 1928 at Enterprise, the daughter of Aster Dupuy* and Helen Smith Creech. She was a 1946 graduate of Great Bend High School and attended the University of Kansas School of Journalism for three years. A long-time Great Bend resident, she was a homemaker. She belonged to First United Methodist Church, the D. U. Chapter of PEO, the Barton County Medical Auxiliary, the National Wildlife Federation and the Nature Conservancy. On Aug. 20, 1950, she married David Glenn Shivel, MD at Great Bend. He survives. Other survivors includes a sister, Glenna Dore Galloway, Marysville. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Great Bend Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. R. Lanney Kuhn presiding. Entombment will be in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the mausoleum. Memorial may be sent to the Nature Conservancy in care of Fryberger Mortuary, Great Bend. *Depew
