Creech, 96, died July 13, 1995, at Integrated Health Systems formerly Great Bend Memorial at Great Bend. She was born April 26, 1899, in Alfalfa County, Okla., the daughter of M. C. and Addie Kay Kennedy Smith. A longtime resident of Great Bend, she was a former sales clerk for Lischesky Dry Goods. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Portia Club, Ladies Auxiliary of Central Kansas Medical Center and a past member of the Commission on Aging, all at Great Bend. On June 1, 1921, she married A. D. Creech at Alva, Okla. He died in 1950. Survivors include two daughters, Glenna Dare Galloway, Marysville, and Patricia Shivel, Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fryberger Mortuary Chapel, Great Bend, with the Rev. Orris Kelly presiding. Freinds may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Women in care of the mortuary.
